Separated from the East Coast of Skye by the narrow & shallow Kyles of Scalpay, the island rises to 396 metres (1,300 ft) at Mullach Na Càrn. It has an area of almost ten square miles and to the north & west overlooks Raasay, Applecross, Kyle of Lochalsh & the new Skye Bridge. To the south lies Broadford & views that stretch as far as the Three Sisters & Knoydart. To the west lie the magnificent Red Cuillin Mountains of Skye.
